Hard to believe the site David Hardisty created 14 years ago is still up and running as strong as ever. I just wanted to wish CF a happy 14th birthday and here is to another 14 strong years (hopefully more) Dave, I just want to say thanks again. As a kid living in LA being a Rockets fan was not easy and having CF was just so valuable to me then. It's even more valuable to me now. I have made friends and had some memorable events all thanks to your dedication. A thanks to everyone here to that make this site so special and the BEST site for Rockets info in the world. I will make a pledge of $1 per rockets victory to the tip jar during the 2010-2011 season to show my appreciation for all of the hard work put into this site to keep it up and running for so long. I hope others if they can do something similar. We are all fortunate to have a place like Clutchfans let's try to keep it that way. Happy 14th Birthday Clutchfans!
That's a great idea Yoyo, I'll do the same $1 per win to the tip jar from the 2010/2011 season. Go Rockets!
14 years is just incredible! Congratulations, Clutch and crew. You have every reason to be immensely proud of the accomplishment, Clutch. I'm looking at the bottom of the BBS right now at the number of members, which at this moment stands at 40,373!!! WOW!! Over 40,000 members, and when I first began lurking here, the Spring before The Summer of Francis and The Mall Guy, I think the number was maybe a couple of hundred over 3,000. I thought that was a big number! The_Yoyo has an excellent idea. I'm up for a dollar a victory for this season. I just hope it's a big number!
ahh the good ole days http://www.clutchfans.net/news/544/francis_setting_clutchcitynet_records/ Francis setting clutchcity.net records MONDAY, AUGUST 30, 1999 6:33 AM CST By Clutch Copyright 1999 ClutchFans.net The day Steve Francis came to Houston set a new clutchcity.net record of 5141 non-consecutive visitors, obliterating the old record of 3221 set back on January 22, 1999. What day was that? The day the Rockets landed Scottie Pippen. Gee Pip, don't take it personal, but Stevie just kicked your ass.
Kinda weird that Clutchfans has been around for half my life. I moved out of Houston a year after Clutchcity and this site gave me the Rockets fix I needed. Took me a while to post in the forums. You're the best Clutch. How you kept this up for 14+ years makes you one of the greatest Rockets fans out there. You have my unending gratitude.
I just turned 33 in July. I'm starting to feel old. lol. I just turned 17 shortly after the Rockets won their frist title. I can say this website has done a great job over the years, and truly has been the BEST fan site in sports.
