    I didn't read the article, but it is generally accepted that one can injure one's self from athletic activity. It is also generally accepted that injuries occur due to the structure of what defines the game of basketball.

    In a reactionary world, 'x injured y' conjures negative emotions. If Beverly were never an NBA player, could we say for certain that Westbrook would have never sustained a similar injury?

    In otherwords, did the structure of basketball allow the interaction that caused the injury, or did Beverly take himself (and therefore westbrook) outside the structure of basketball in order to injure him? 'Accidental' and 'Dirty' define those situations, respectively.

    Why associate negative emotions between two parties if those two were just playing basketball?
