The cast album for Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip-hop musical based on the life of Alexander Hamilton just came out (available on iTunes, spotify, etc.). It's an interesting show-- and a bunch of famous people, from the Obamas to Dick Cheney have attended it. Daryl Morey is a apparently a fan, too. You can listen to it on NPR's website here: http://www.npr.org/2015/09/21/440925873/first-listen-cast-recording-hamilton When Miranda wrote the first song of the play in 2009, he performed it at the White House: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/WNFf7nMIGnE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Just thought those of us who like to talk politics may take an interest in this.
^^^ Can't even look at tickets under $250. We got tickets in July for January 2016. Paid $540 for a pair.
A pricing bubble for Hamilton tickets would be so very fitting. I bet Alexander himself would laugh his ass off at this.
