Anybody on here play it online? I was thinking of getting it with: 1.8 GHz 512 Ram GeForce 4 440 Go (Its a laptop). Will it run well?
I heard that the programing is a little buggy anyways, but that should be fine, just don't put it at high-resolutions. On another note, it looks like Halo 2 was pushed back again
Buggiest game I've ever purchased. I have gone through hell and back trying to get it to work on my computer, but it won't. I can play level 1, but level 2 just crashes the second it starts. I'm not the only one to have had problems -- lots of people have. If you can get it working it's supposed to be great. I'm going to do a format/reinstall of Windows on this box soon, so perhaps that will fix my problem . . .
Give me back my laptop Nomar! (Toshiba Satellite, right? ) Erm, but yeah I would definetly recomend that you go download the demo and see if it runs on your computer to your satisfaction, I played it on mine (Exact same setup) and something about it didn't seem quite good to me... sluggish... not very pretty visuals... something... I dunno.... but I'm not sure if it was my computer or rather just sloppy programming or such...
I paid $2,000 for mine back in May of 2002... the same thing, but better is like $999 now... ((Okay, well I didn't pay for it, it was a Graduation present... but STILL!))
The PC Halo is horrible. Really laggy and I've got a P4 2.6 with 1Gig of Ram and a Geforce FX 5600 Ultra. I've tried to turn almost all the graphics down and it still plays bad. Not worth it.
It's really hit or miss with Halo PC. I've not had any real problems on this machine, and this is rather low end, but I've heard and seen different things. Not too mention...Halo really shows it's age now. After playing a few other games on the PC and starting up Halo, it doesn't quite compare anymore. I'd stick with XBOX.
