I'm glad she won. In fact, I picked her in our office pool. I saw Monters Ball and loved it. Having said that...how does she qualify as strictly African-American? Those who didn't already know she was half white found out tonight when the cameras showed her mom. It's sort of the Tiger Woods syndrome. His Thai side is rarely mentioned. I also think her winning is a victory for all of us horney guys. She got her freak on in Monsters Ball and look what happened!! Maybe more hot actresses will take note and follow! os

Berry happens to be the first black woman to ever win an Oscar for Best Actress. Obviously she was very aware of that when she won and the haters in this thread weren't or didn't care. Berry's Oscar is historic so cut her a little slack or somethin... geez.
