I'm this close to puking all over my coworker. I doubt she'd appreciate it....but she'd probably understand after I showed her this link.

Refman's signature quote remains my favorite on this BBS. The Oilers story is everything wrong with professional sports.

How is it that one of my most painful sports memories as a young man now brings the most joy to my heart now as an adult? It's because Bud Adams is a f.u.c.k.i.n.g d.o.u.c.h.e. And yes, I do not care that we didn't want to build your Cody Carlson led team a new stadium.

Rot in hell Bud and go Buffalo!!!!!

wow, you guys are a bunch of cornholes.

bud adams did houston a favor by taking that wretched-never-done-anything-38-3-choking team to tennessee. that team is cursed. same story, different city.

Texans will be pushing for a super bowl in the next few seasons and bud adams will still be paying the jerry sloan of the nfl to coach his team.

    texans > oilers

That's not the point. The point is that the Houston Oilers were our team. To see the tennessee titans on the field wearing Houston Oliers jerseys is simply a traveshamockery. They should be permanently retired.

What would the Ravens do if they were asked to play in a "HOF" game?

Would they be the Browns, while the other browns still exist?

At least Modell let them have that name back...

Normally I never let anyone on the bbs truly bother me...just random people behind a computer screen.

However, you sir, need to be b*tch slapped post-haste

Anyone who grew up with the Oilers as their team will know what I mean.

Right on! To hell with the Tenessee Oilers, go Texans!

When they first moved I was pissed/disappointed. In 2002 the Texans rolled into town and now I could care less, let them do what they want . I have my team.

I used to care, but I am a Texan fan.

    Texans>Oilers

They can wear them every year for all I care, we are the Houston Texans

We have tailgating, a bad ass stadium, a owner who will do anything and stay out of the way and now we are about to be real good for a long time.

Thank you Bud and Mayor Bob for being d-bags and letting Mr. McNair come in and give us a better product

Vince Young wearing an Oilers uniform...I may cream my pants.

That would be the equivalent of Chris Simms wearing a Texans uniform for you Simms fans.

The Ravens would not be playing in it. They were a "brand new team." The new Browns would play though.

This is what pisses me off the most. Modell didnt let them have the name back, Tagliabue forced him to give Cleveland the name since it was an original AFL franchise.

But when another certain AFL franchise moves, Tagliabue keeps his mouth shut when people in Houston ask about keeping the Oilers name.

The NFL just reeks of hypocrisy with the way they deal with certain teams.
