    Questioning Hakeem's Faith

Why does Hakeem follow Islam and live in Jordan while his african brothers are getting killed in Sudan by Arab muslims? Why does he follow such a racist, violent, and sexist religion?

Why are people Christians when you've got hatemongers like those at the Westboro Baptist Church?

Don't hold an entire religion accountable for the extremist nutjobs.

Maybe Hakeem understands that the Muslims in Sudan aren't representative of the whole religion, and isn't someone who would look at the action of the most extreme members of that religion, and think it applies to everyone.

Look at what Hakeem's devotion to the religion did for him. Was he more violent before or after his rededication to Islam? For every terrorist, or murdering Islamist, there are 10 Muslims closer to Hakeem's way of practicing.

    Hasty generalizations don't help.

Why would anyone be a Christian after their ethnic cleansing attempts in Eastern Europe against Muslims? You could ask that question about any religion, basing it on the most extreme members.

First of all what is happening in Sudan are black muslims killing black muslims. Arabs are a linguistic group not a racial one. Also I am pretty sure that Islam explicitly forbids racism.

The very question is overtly racist -- because Arabs in Sudan are committing crimes, that means Arabs in Jordan are also culpable?

Frontpage magazine is pretty fringe. Not exactly a good starting point for the discussion. I met a lot of Sudanese, both in Israel and in Egypt that fled Dafur. Most of them were Muslims, and they maintain the row is over race rather than religion.

They are also discriminated against in Egypt (which is why most of them stay in Sinnai which is mostly Bedouin and more accepting) and Israel. You can't really blame Islam for that.

muslims in the Arab world are not doing anything to stop the killing of black muslims by Arab muslims or even spoken out against this even though over 2 million people have died. You know why? Islam is racist. The media and countries are afraid to talk about. Don't want to upset all those arab muslims who control most of the oil. Oil > blood of our african brothers
Also, I have not found one comment from Hakeem about the situation in Dafur, Sudan. And what is he doing living in Jordan instead of his homeland? Does he feel safer living among the Arab muslims or does he believe he's already one of them. Does he even give **** about black muslims and christians dying in homeland? Also the Koran is definetly racist, maybe Hakeem just chooses to skip over the parts that mention that. I wouldn't be suprised at all if that was the case.

African Brothers? When did people from the Sudan become Hakeem's brothers. Just because you are from the same continent and have the same color of skin doesn't mean you owe them anything. I really could care less about my North American brothers from Greenland, and it certainly isn't my responsibility to change my religion if some from my religion start attacking the white people of Greenland.

Are you sure you are a Rockets fan? Go ahead and watch this:

I respect Mutombo more than the Dream. The Dream can continue raising money that supportings the same Arab muslims who have no problem with all the killing in Dafur, Sudan and whom have links to terrorism. He's so brainwashed by Islam and getting all comfy in Jordan. Even Mutombo has suggested that Hakeem has abandoned his African heritage.

    1) Hakeem is from Nigeria
    2) What is happening in Darfur is a sad situation
    3) Hakeem's wife is from Jordan and he has had business interest there and here in Houston since he played with the Rockets
    4) promoting stereotypes to incite some provactative dialogue is self serving and ignorant

What has Mutombo done for Darfur?

Sounds a lot more like you are brainwashed against it

Where did you read or hear this?
