At least we got to see them boating together and riding a tandem bike and discussing the merits of hard vs. soft shell tacos.....

From what I recall, Hakeem had some minor hand or foot problem, and backed out.

I would've loved to have seen it, though.

I think the PPV would have been a huge flop.

I love Hakeem, but who wants to watch two 7 footers play one on one, especially when one of them couldnt shoot outside of 3 feet??

Now, Jordan v. Wilkins or Bird v. Magic would have been something to watch.

In fact, I think I had a Larry Bird v. Magic computer game a long time ago. Hmmmm.

I believe you are talking about the Apple IIe classic "One on One"

It was Larry Bird vs. Dr. J.

    I played that forever!

Double Dribble was great. You could hit a 3 from anywhere on the court as long as you were on one of those black specks.

I had the Jordan or Magic vs Bird also on Nintendo.

I still have some of the Taco Bell cups promoting the event. They are really dirty though. :(

Classic game. Bird had the jumper and Dr J had the whirling, spinning layups.

there was a PPV 1 on 1 contest.

my memory fails me but i think it included Lionel Simmons, Loyola's leading scorer (his name escapes me) & other NBA stars.

i've forgotten how it all played out. Anyone know what i'm talking about?

Back to reality! In his second season Yao Ming was able to counter balance the Shaq effect.
