With the Dream coming home what are you all going to do?

I have mixed feelings... I love him for the countless number of amazing performances, but I also hate him for the trade demand and the crappy way he left.

So I will probably stand in awe and do nothing.

I'll be at home watching, hoever....mixed feelings:

I like Hakeem, always have. Cheering for him seems natural. However, he is now the enemy. Thus I cannot rightfully cheer for him.

Then again, if he has a good game, Toronto may win, propelling us closer to the top-o-the-lottery.....

OK, I'll cheer for him. :D

I say cheer him during player intros...just as I would for any ex-Rocket great (the greatest in this case IMO) who has moved on to play for another team.

Then boo him like hell for the rest of the game just as I would any player on any opposing team.

I dont hold a grudge...but I dont make exceptions either. I love Dream...but he is the enemy tomorrow night.

My sentiments exactly. I love Hakeem, he deserves a standing ovation during introductons, but when he steps onto that court its business as usual. If a player's on the other team there's no way in hell I'm cheering for him during the game. I'm a ROCKETS fan.

****! I voted for the middle one by mistake. I would like to cancel that and vote for "cheer wildly all through out the game". I will cheer like a madman during the player intros, and cheer like a madman still everytime he makes a basket, and I hope he makes a whole lotta baskets.

So you give 1 month of what you perceive as negatives as much weight as 20 years of positives?

But is now the time to celebrate the positives? I don't really think so. That's what uniform retirement ceremonies are for.

I wish the arena would be silent and empty.

more silent and more empty than it normally is, I mean.

    EDC,

Great post... I am with you. No goodtime memories tomorrow, that is what jersey retirement is for.

    Freak,

No, I won't let those two months before he left totally ruin my idea of what a true champ he WAS, but he was still a ass for acting that way.

I bet Vancouver is bummed they gave up what they did for him. It will eventually pay off for us, all because Hakeem acted like a baby!

Yeah Vancouver hasn't even won a game this year!

I'm with Rollinrocket on this one. I'll give him a standing ovation, but once the game starts he is the enemy.

    I won't necessarily cheer, but I won't boo either.
    I only boo the refs.
    I'll clap politely though.

I will cheer him unless he's playing us. Then I will boo him like I do every other player not wearing pinstripes.

    He made his choice.

couldn't boo him if I tried.
can't stand the fact he's not in a Rockets uni but he's still the greatest Rocket ever.
It's more upsetting to me to see him play at such a low level than to see him in another uni...

I'm not even at the game and I'm booing him while watching TV. Hakeem is a jerk. He always was a jerk when he was with the team. He faked injuries. He constantly complained about the way that he was being treated by the team. The Rockets had a chance to get something for Hakeem and then he put up a big stink about the lack of loyalty he was getting and then he leaves a year later and the Rockets get nothing for him. Hakeem can screw off. Everyone should boo him.
