I really do not see what is so great about this guy off the court, in fact I really despise him. He came to Houston, did his thang, and retired. He barley did anything for our comminuty, in fact, all I remember of him was putting out that crap-ass shoe for 34 bucks. He bolted us for Canada, burned our management and officials. He emphasized more on his got dang religion then caring for anyone in the city of Houston. He refused to sell his crap store by Minute Maid for the good of the city, and would not cough up any cash to help the rockets get better players. Pippen, Olajuwon, Alou, they are all good for nothins. Bagwell, Biggio, and Francis have done more for the city than Olajuwon ever did.

    yeah 2 rings, that's it.

athletes have no obligation to do anything for their city. while it's nice that many do give back, they have no moral or civic duty to do so.

Hakeem was a businessman first and last.He was a highly paid entertainer who did his job.He brought Honor to himself and our City with the gentlemanly way he played the Game. His crowning moments being the two Championships. If we get our Statue, I will continue to think of him in this positive light.

    Dear God,

Please let me fall asleep and wake up when the Rockets are in training camp.

    Sincerely,

    Jeff

    Amen.
