Could the Rockets be thinking of sending Hakeem in a sign-and-trade to the Wizards in order to land themselves the #1 pick? I wonder what else Wash would be willing to offer, seeing as how Hakeem probably won't be willing to earn a rookie's salary, even a #1. What do yall think and how would you feel if this scenario were the case. ------------------
Go for it! You gotta look to the future; even Hakeem is telling us that with his choices and his attitude. ------------------ "How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak. Because someday you will have been all of these."
Bingo: Sorry, but Hakeem isn't even remotely worth a #1 pick by any stretch of anybody's imagination. ------------------ Lacking inspiration at the moment...
This ain't 1995.... ------------------ "Oh No..." -Bill Walton in 97 just before Stockton's buzzer beater
I don't think Bingo means a one-for-one exchange of Hakeem for #1. Don't they have cap problems? I proposed elsewhere that we take Richmond off their hands to make room for Hakeem and we get the first pick in exchange for #13 and either #18 or #23. Hakeem can go anywhere, so let's move him to the Wizards if we stand to benefit sufficiently and I'd say the prime pick qualifies. ------------------ "How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak. Because someday you will have been all of these."
I still can't believe Hakeem may not, even most likely won't be, a Rocket next year. ------------------
