Everybody is saying lets just trade Hakeem to get a few better players. Yes, it would help our rockets team down the road, but it will kill the city of Houston. Hakeem to me is one of the the top five best players of all time behind Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Wilt Chamberlin. He has always been the man ,and has been our leader for almost 20 years. He is not even close to what he was 6 yeasr ago, but why dont we give him some respect he brought basketball live to Houston. He gave us two championships and wonderful memories.........

Yet have of you people cant remember that and are put up crap like lets trade hime for Juan Howard. That is bull ****!
Hakeem deserves respect and I think that we need to go to him more down the strech because he still can dominate periods of the game and he still is the DREAM!

Steve and Mobley will lead this team to the championship for years to come

    I agree completely.

If I make this shot, the Rockets will win tonight. If I miss, they might still win, but I doubt it.
If I make two in a row, Florida's votes will actually count.

I have no problem showing respect for the Dream. But his recent statements are obviously disrespecting Houston. What happened to "I'll do whatever Rudy wants me to do?" What happened to "I'm having fun again?"

If Dream has a problem (and obviously he does), he should take it to Rudy. The last thing we needed was him running to the press, as if they are going to change our gameplan. What he did was a smack in the face to whatever Rudy is trying to build here.

I don't blame him for being frustrated. I have no idea what it is like being Hakeem Olajuwon. But he has handled this very badly, and it could be bad for team morale.

Bottom line: Dream doing this is very possibly hurting our team...I understand what he meant to the city of Houston, and what he still means. But this is now. And if the man decides to blantantly disrespect our team, it needs to be dealt with in some manner. I'M NOT SAYING WE SHOULD TRADE HIM. But how good is a Hakeem Olajuwon who may not want to be here anymore? I respect the man for what he's done on the court, regardless of where he plays out the rest of his career. But we have to do what is best for the Houston Rockets, whatever that may be.
