One of our spies in Toronto with ties to the org reports that Raptors GM Glen Grunwald has offered Hakeem Olajuwon and Mamadou N'Djaye to Dallas in exchange for none other than Wang Zhi Zhi. Methinks Wang would like Toronto, which has the largest Chinese population in a metropolitan area of any place outside China.

    From SlamOnline.com

CBA wise, it would be impossible, someone like Avery Johnson would have to be included to make it work.

Agent wise: Raptors get rid of two Fegan clients and gain a 5th Duffy client

Cap wise: Raptors save some cash, Dallas spends a bit more.

Talent wise: Raptors get worse, Dallas gets better.

I'm not sure that Dallas gets better. There's a reason why Toronto seriously considered buying out Hakeem's contract this offseason, and now they're dumping him for a back-up center. Granted Wang has potential, but still.

I would be apt to loose my cookies if I saw Dream in a Mavs jersey. At least in Toronto he's in a foreign country.

I couldn't take Olajuwon in a Mavs jersey.

Don't let 'em do it, Dream!

My god Dream...this is getting ridiculous. Hakeem, hang up the sneakers. You've had an incredible career...I don't think Rocket fans can bear to see you in yet another jersey w/o the Rockets logo on it.

who cares a player is a player if he goes to dallas let it be. This league is not here to make people happy, its here to win games. And if dallas does get him it would be good becuase we get to see him more duruing theseason. So that would make all the million and millions of the roc....the dreams fans happy.

If Olajuwon cried about not getting enough shots/pt in Houston and Tor. He's going to be bawling in Dal.

What will be sad/funny is when Shawn Bradley is playing more mins than Olajuwon.

Uhhh what? If you don't think the NBA is here to please the fans, you're mistaken. Where do you think the NBA gets all the money and revenue? How do teams get the votes for new arenas? Why are there rule changes to increase offensive production? Why does Daniel Stern want MJ back? Why does the NBA have an All-Star game and the different festivities that go along with it?
How does a league win games anyway?

BTW, if you think watching Hakeem as a shell of his old self in a Dallas Mavericks jersey will please Rocket fans, think again.
