Yeah his free throws were not nice. But those big plays he made. The shot to make it go to overtime and steals. This guy is amazing, he is the best center on the team. [IMG]

I felt it was a blessing in disguise when Taylor fouled out because that when Hakeem came in. Without Hakeem, the Rockets don't win tonight.

    pooh222,

    You nailed it.

I was keeping up with the game via ESPN.COM's GameCast Live, and I was yelling up a storm that Hakeem wasn't in and suck-ass Taylor (at least for this game.... and many others) was.

When he fouled out, I was like, "We have a chance".

    Thats a fact, poop22,

Hakeem made some ugly shots, but the steals, blocks and clutch shots were the only way we pull it out. Props to KT also. Bring it on Portland!!

Dream Fokassed on defense against Mcdyse. Mcdyse had hit 4-5 shots at one point in the third, Dream comes in, he misses his next 3 or 4. Just getting his hands out, pressuring Mcdyse...his steals too....as far as I am concerned he still is the Dream...experience does count =)

Dream played decently well..his 1-6 at the foul line stops me from saying he played great.

He is contributing though, and is getting more comfortable in the new offense every day.

Um, It's McDyess. 2 S's. Anyways, awesome game by Dream. He really looks good and is showing why he can still be a dominant force in the middle.

Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

I gave Hakeem Player of the Game honors over Mobley, Francis and KT (tough one) because Dream made two very big plays.... but damn, he bricked some free throws that we couldn't exactly afford at the time.

Turned out that they (missed FTs) weren't needed. That's what I call luck.

    treeman,

I won't say it's luck, but let's give Denver a moral W. [IMG] We've got enough of that last year.

They definitely gave a good show. They can have the moral edge tonight for all I care... We got the physical one - even with Antonio's awesome play...

I don't care what Lady Luck has to say as long as we add one in the W column.

One thing that I observed was that when Hakeem came in the end to play defense on McDyess, the latter started to play away from his position..ie..drift away from block so as to bring Hakeem out and negate his Shot Blocking. That, certainly let McDyess to miss more of his shots. Before that, McDyess was just mauling Mo and KT inside.

This is just another of the little things that Hakeem does!
