It's just like the old days...wow! Whole team was unbelieveable tonight. Does Iverson usually whine so much or was he just frustrated cuz his team got a good, old - fashioned butt kicking?

I really think that Hakeem will play like this on almost every night. He has just kicked it into another gear. When Steve and Hakeem have good games, the Rockets are nearly unbeatable. This was quite a team effort tonight.

NBA Finals, here we come!!! Oh, wait. We play in the West. It is good to see Dream come alive in these games, but let's not forget that these last two teams had no true center. Still, good to see. This is what we need to get on a roll. I have a question, though. Why did Kenny get more minutes than Mo, and why did los not play at all?

If Dream can contribute like that every night there is no doubt that this team will make the playoffs. Now with back to back blowouts over two of the leagues premier teams the thought that it was a fluke has escaped my mind.

    Damn Right it was positive!!!!!!!!!
How could anyone be negative after back-to-back games like this?
Most of my negative comments have been justified anyway, just like my positive comments are justified.

Either way, I am happy. I don't mind if Hakeem decides to leave after this season. His contract is up, and it is his choice. As long as he plays hard until the end, and gives Houston what it payed for, he is ok in my book.

    Way to go, Dream!

hey dogbelly -- tonight hakeem was up against theo ratliff who has been the poster child for the "let's get a kick-ass defensive shot-blocking center" rockets fans. he's easily in the top 5 of all defensive centers.

Ratliff is a PF who gets to play center in the East. Watch your man Theo in games against true centers, like tonight.

It just seems that there are so few true centers who can dominate anymore...Shaq, um...haven't seen Mutombo play...ummm....

If Hakeem is able to keep this up (and stick around), I bet the Rockets slither into the playoffs...

If the Dream plays like that everynight, we should worry. How will we convince him to stay at the end of the season - assuming he stays till then - his stock just shot up with these 2 performances..

so which is it dogbelly? did hakeem just get over tonight because ratliff is really a power forward? or is hakeem himself a real center??

Dream is in one of those zones he used to get in a few years back. Since I'm in New York I've only seen the games against the Knicks but man it was great to see him play like that again monday night. It also shows how awesome this team can be with a consistent low post presence offensively and defensively.

    HAKEEM THE DREAM!!!

I love watching Hakeem dominate like in the old days. I think the Rockets should consider keeping him after this year if he decides to keep playing. Anyways, its great!

It's both. I'm not saying that is the only reason he got off, but it sure does help. And as for all of the posters who think Ratliff would be perfect on this team, I'll bet they think that Cato would eventually come around. Surely they don't think he is the answer at center.

That was awesome! If you're Philadelphia, you know you've lost when Dream dribbles down the court after a turnover.

You ought to see some of his attempts at dribbling in college and in the NBA. It was painful to watch. I've never seen anyone dribble as badly as Hakeem, but then he's never really had to. Ever watch a little kid slap a ball at the ground all the way down the court? He has to concentrate on the slapping. That's what Hakeem used to be like... he used to stare down at his hand and the ball seemingly as if to make sure they both made contact. LOL! I'm not sure if that's changed any.
