There is a difference between ethnicity and nationality.

There are three major races White, Black and Asian. He would classify under one of those depending where his mother and father roots come from.

Hispanics fall under the white category believe it or not.

 

The three major races are 1. white Americans, 2. Americans who are good at basketball, 3. Europeans.
Europeans can be 1. black (Tony Parker), 2. Mexican (Pau Gasol) or albino (Gortat).

They aren't "white". It was said in the past that the 3 "races" are caucasoid, negroid, and mongoloid.

Hispanics would fall under "caucasoid". But that doesn't mean they are "white". Caucasian does not = white.

But anyway, it used to be accepted that there were "3 races"... but not anymore. That is very out-dated and not scientific.
