Hakeem came on Rudy's show tonight and apoligized to Rudy and the fans and clarified the situation. Basically he said that his comments were blown out of proportion. He apparently did not think the comments he made were out of line. From what he said he was asked by a reporter if he would like to play in Miami and if he feels he can still contribute to a teams success. ------------------ "Clinton lied. I consider that crap. 610am reported today at practice that Hakeem wouldn't say anything when asked direct questions about it. Why wait for a public broadcast if he was truly sorry? What is he calling Miami reporters liars? Now we know why he didn't make last night's comments to Houston reporters. Don't be fooled. this wreaks of politics.
hmmmm...apology...so was he apologizing for the content of his statements or was he apologizing that it was reported? I mean is he saying he didnt mean it? A little more insight... After finding out what was printed in the Miami newspapers, Hakeem tried to contact Rudy immediately with no luck. He was not a scheduled guest on Rudy's show and called in on his own will to "clear the air". Why he couldn't address the situation this afternoon immediately before or after practice, I don't know.
