    Yao.

Reason #1) Finley keeps the Spurs in the title mix if an injury strikes Manu Ginobili. Before the Finley signing, Manu getting hurt would have meant curtains to the Spurs going all the way again. In 12 NBA regular season games against Houston, Manu has gotten hurt and missed subsequent games twice by running into the redwood trees that are Yao Ming's legs. In a series with the Rockets -- and my rough, early forecast currently has the Spurs and Houston squaring off in an epic series in the second round -- the percentages holding would mean Manu will not be able to play every game in that series. Manu crashes into one of Yao's pins? Enter Fin -- and the Spurs retain the favorite's role.

Finley is the type of player that Tmac can easily shut down, such as Glenn Robinson, and Jerry Stackhouse. They're not quick enough to go around you, but they try to shoot over you. Tmac will use his length and athleticism to force misses. If Manu went down, we'd be the favorite.

The only person in the west that I'm worried about is Manu. Nobody can match his agressiveness on the court. He's the only reason that makes Spurs on top, it's easy to shutdown Duncan and Parker. If Manu will be out this season, this will be a good year for us... coz I think nobody can replace him, nobody in the league does what he does.. not even Finley.

Manu has accomplished evrtying about being a basketball god, he won the olympic ring as well as NBA in the same year. I expect him to slowdown a bit to stay healthy.

I'm not too sure about that. :p The Spurs can survive without Manu but not without Duncan.
