you think the press would be all over that fact in a negative way since we didnt get much love for our championships? stuf like well it was a shorted season, doesnt count, etc.... we never get highlights when they have finals clips over the yrs now as it is...

Oh, and nobody cares about whether or not we'd have an asterisk next to a title if we won in 99. The only thing that matters is that we won in 94 and 95, and we did something that the Spurs have yet to do: Win back to back. And we get (unfairly) hit with the Jordan asterisk anyway.

Dude, think about it: half your posts are threads. This is the most civil forum I've ever seen (by FAR), and I can tell you too that that seems a tad excessive. And what's the point of this really? The scenario you bring up wasn't even likely to happen. It's like asking what would have happened if Atlanta had won the championship this year. So why even bother thinking about it, let alone start a thread about it?

We were terrible in 99'. I think 97' is the year that we had Drexler, Olajuwan and Barkley. We made it to the Western conference finals I think.
