Last night helped me remember why I was such a big Mo fan. He fits into our scheme perfectly. He has the best "big man"jump shot on our team (Yao not included yet). He doesn't need to have an isolation to score. Mo takes the ball and makes a decision to either score or hurry or keep it moving, fitting right in with our 5 man offense, whereas Kenny takes 5-10 seconds deciding what he wants to do. I know Mo's rebounding has not been that of your typical PF, but he has stated that he is committed to becoming solidified rebounder. Kenny's rebounding numbers are better than Mo's, last season Kenny averaged 7.2 RPG while two season ago Mo averaged 5.5, either way that calls for big improvement from both players. I love Kenny's defensive tenacity, which is a big reason why I want to keep him as a bench player, but if there is a trade to be made later on down the road, I'd much rather it be Kenny packing his bags than Mo. If Mo Taylor can make big strides on the boards, he would be a cheaper version of Chris Webber. (A Chris Webber type, don't blow that up!)
nobody will trade for a player that missed all of last season with a injury. ooooooooohhh!!!! call the knicks!
I too hope Mo isn't traded but I don't think he will be. I think the Rockets are content with the team they have, and they should be. If they let this team grow, they can become a dangerous team in the next few years.
Is Maurice Taylor ready to serve that five-game suspension for mar1juana use? Has he stopped using the drug? If he's still on mar1juana, trade him.
You need to go back and watch the game tape if you don't think he took 5-10 seconds to score after getting the ball. His move is get the ball and pump fake a couple of times, then shoot. Kenny's shot is get the ball, pump fake a couple of times, then shoot or drive. Kenny is better at the driving and Mo is better at the shooting, but the play isn't that different. They may have switched out of the motion offense by the time Mo was getting his shots and the ISO's may have been called for him to test his shot. Hopefully once everybody is using the motion offense we can see him with some nice catch and shoot plays from 15-18 feet, but that isn't what was happening against San Antonio. If you like Mo, that's great, but the plays for him and the plays for Kenny aren't that different. And I never saw Mo keep the ball moving, that's why he ended up with no assists.
No trading Mo. Too big of a contract, coming off injury, plus the man can flat out shoot the ball. We need him.
Who are we gonna trade him for who's not "on mar1juana"?? Maybe Ferry? No, he probably get's stoned. Bring back Scotty Brooks. I read some where that the majority of players in the NBA smoke pot. It is just a reality, hell Odom's numbers went down after they really made him cut down on smoking weed.
Tracy Murray could shoot the ball..... Who needs a guy who puts zero effort into rebounding and playing defense. I would trade him so fast that his A$$ would get wind burn. DD
