    What's your gut feeling?

If "NO" tell us what the next step should be...

Gut feeling is yes, he'll be the new coach. If not, Dunleavy.

Rox should talk to Dunlevvy while waiting for an answer from JVG. I hope JVG comes, but the chance looks like 50-50 at best for now.

I don't feel he is. If Houston was a big eye-opener for him, he would've said yes from day one. Right now, all he can say is we have a great team w/ talent and a great city.

If they don't at least interview Carlisle they are fools.

If Van Gundy doesn't come I would try and get in touch with Carlisle. He is a better choice in my opinion than Dunleavy. Unfortunately the Rockets have narrowed down their options to JVG and Dunleavy.

Next step is NOT Dunleavy -

    Next step: Get Rudy Back!

Admit we made a mistake - hope he gets better - and hope he wants to coach still!

I just don't see it happening. Momentum doesn't seem to be on our side. Maybe Les can offer ownership as well.

Hopefully, Dunleavy will still want to come here.

Now wait a minute, lest we forget, why Rudy HAD to step down. His half court, slow down, stand around offense was the dullest in the league. Plus, for whatever the reason, Rudi quit emphasizing the gut-check D that had so much to do with our winning two championships in a row. Rudi is tired and sick. No more Rudi, please.

I have serious doubts that Van Gundy wants to come to Houston. It would be too much of a culture shock for his kids. He is too much of a NY, east coaster type. And if that is not enough, his half court offense reminds me too much of what we've just been through. Can Van Gundy get CAT to play D? Can he motivate Mr. underachiever #1 (Eddie Griffin), for whom we gave up three (3) first round draft choices, including Richard Jefferson, just a few short years ago; Mr. underachiever #2 (Mo Taylor), or Glen Rice for that matter? And what the hell happened to Boki Nachbar?

Why don't they move Steve francis to SG, put Tito Maddox at PG, and get the hell rid of CAT? Trade him for the #1 draft choice we don't have and Draft a decent kick-butt PF?

Ok, enough ranting and raving for one post!! What do you think?

It just seems like his decision is taking too long. For him to say that Yao and Steve are what you need for a foundation of a championship team, and still not make a decision bugs the hell outta me. Hopefully he'll come...but I gotta bad feeling

It's not looking good. It's already Sunday afternoon and there is still no answer/media leak.

for some reason, my gut says that he's coming here. but the eternal pessimist in me says something is gonna go wrong.

b/c they're not as stupid as you maybe? tito sux, couldn't shoot when he played and has like 50 minutes of total PT. add on top that he missed a trip with the team and was described by Doc Rocket in a post as a very bad person. why do you want him to start at pg again?

i think this situation calls for gregonomics immediately.

That may be the personnel. Old Rudy teams had great defenders (Thorpe, Maxwell, Dream, Elie, Chilcutt, etc.)

I do not think Pete Chilcutt was a good defender , If he was he would still be in the league. Anyway I said no because he is taking to long to accept the job. I just don't want Dunleavy.

I think if JVG waits past tomorrow, that would be inconsiderate.

As for Chilcutt, you don't remember that game where he shut down Shawn Kemp in the playoffs?
