Just a thought, he can't call Texan games because of CBS and he doesn't really fit Baseball plus I like Brownie and JD but what if the Rockets came calling? Would you want Gus calling Rox games either via TV or Radio? I like Bill but since Calvin was shown the door it hasn't been the same and I really have no connection with the Radio guy sooooo...

i'd love to have him next to worrell...but i can't see the rockets having him miss time like that....maybe just for away games?

Actually, Craig Ackerman (current Rockets pbp guy) probably shouts just as much as Gus. Ackerman PLUS Gus would be epic though.

hmm how many games did he really do for the knicks? I rarely ever remember him doing games if it wasnt breen it seemed like al trautwig (sp?) was the main backup. surprised really because most of his other gigs were on weekends

would be great if the rockets signed him to replace worrell but that will never happen...it should but it wont

pretty sure ESPN will try to sign the guy now they need all the help they can get with their broadcasts

Well, I meant the radio broadcast. He has done Texan games as the TV guy for CBS but not employed by the Texans.

The Knicks are pretty quick when dealing with mediocrity...

I'd LOVE to live play-by-play announcing for the Rockets. I think I'd be great at it!

    Boom goes the dynamite!

I never enjoyed announcing as much as when that guy was doing rockets games. he had it all, knowledge, voice, unique, humor, he was awesome. unfortunately Les doesn't think outside the box

I still go around saying "THREE BAWWWL" in his voice when I'm watching the Rockets. Seeing how I don't live in Houston, I'm pretty sure no one has ever gotten the reference.
