Two people were shot, NYC Councilman James Davis was killed, the other person, who is unidentified, was reportedly "gravely injured". It's said to be isolated, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a terrorist or Saddam sympathizer or something. No word on how he got in, some are saying he may have come in with the council incognito. How he got through the metal detectors with a gun is unknown.

Update: The 2nd person is now confirmed dead, the shooter allegedly came in the room with Davis and might have been a council aid.

Two people reported dead. Mayor Bloomberg stated that it wasn't terrorism. Just a regular everyday whacko.

I didn't hear Mayor Bloomberg's comments, thanks. I still feel suspicious that this happens the day after the U.S. got Hussein's boys. It just might be a coincidence though.

Looks like the 2nd person killed was the assailant.

This is a very irresponsible way to speculate.

Why? It was just my opinion on a message board, I even preferenced it with "I would be surprised", to make sure everybody knows it was MY opinion and not the news. And the fact that it happened in New York City and a Councilman killed ONE DAY after the what happened in Iraq makes it possible. And when I say terrorist I don't mean Al-Qaeda, I mean domestic terrorist who usually do crazy stuff like this to "payback" the government, punish the government, or something else equally as twisted. It looks like it was someone who killed the councilman over a non-profit organization disagreement anyway, at least that is the talk.
