    anyone willing to teach a nub how to play guitar or know someone that teaches for cheap? i just want to learn the basics.

    Sorry, misunderstood the question, the number on the line is which fret to play, you have to decide on your own which finger is the best for you to use.

    I'm a noob at guitar playing myself so I can't really recommend any place for lessons unless you want to drive to Lake Jackson. I know Rockin Robin on Shepard has lessons and their supposed to be good but haven't been there myself.

    yes. nirvana because its a easy song to learn for a beginner and pachelbel because of love that song although its a verrry hard song to learn. teach me!

    to be honest, I have never really used tab to figure out songs. I usually just try to listen to a song and play it by ear.

    hey svpernaut i found a great website for basics. http://www.learntoloveguitar.com/ just stumbled on it a couple of minutes ago. u want to get together and play guitar? yea i know its cheesy...but maybe u know some stuff i dont and vice versa and we can learn quicker this way.

    i picked up the guitar a year ago. still a novice though. can play the basic chords, some song tabs, and scales. my worst problem is strumming. it's harder than i thought it'd be. also, i have trouble tuning the guitar.

    On the second song, if you look to the left of the tablature, you'll notice that it is played with the low E string dropped to D.

    I'm entirely too crappy at the moment to play in front of anyone :eek:

    I have an Dean Evo Noir so I jack it into my computer via the Soundblaster Audigy Platinum input and use a guitar tuner that way. If you search google there are plenty of free tuner softwares to choose from.

    This is the tuner I use, that is a paid program... but umm, who pays for software?
