Well, I looked through 60 pages and couldn't find the thread on the Guitar Hero series (I'm pretty sure there was one somewhere), so I thought I'd beat RC to the punch and create this thread for general GH discussion. To start us off, I'd like to present Guitar Hero 3's answer to "Jordan" for finger breaking frustration. omfg! that is bad ass! i cannot wait! this 0wnz Jordan! and I still cant beat Jordan on Expert. I get about 80%
speaking of Guitar HEro, has anyone seen the new edition that is on the shelves? Guitar Hero : The 80s (or something like that) when did this come out? and has anyone tried it?
I've seen that vid before, about 3 months ago. Insane as hell. I've been playing GH2 like mad lately, I started about 5 weeks ago I've got like 5 songs to beat on Expert to complete the game.
a few weeks ago. i almost beat the expert mode in one session. the only song i haven't beat is the last song on expert mode. extreme - play with me. then i lost my interest. i beat gh2 and gh1 in expert mode easily lol. the only hard song in the entire series is Jordan in bonus songs. the only expert song i have yet to beat on expert mode. real guitar is much more fun than the game lol.
Guitar Hero 80's sucks. Only 30 songs, no bonus songs or things to unlock, and a lot of the songs just flat out suck and are not fun to play. I'm not sure I like some of the HUD changes in GH3. Looking forward to Rock Band more now.
Damnit... There is the one song I will never beat on Expert. And Rocks the 80's sucks. I've also beat every song except Cowboys from Hell Expert and Bark at the Moon Expert on GH1. GH2 I still haven't beat the last section on Expert. Im not very good at the up and down strumming.
I suck at guitar hero so bad. I can beat everything on medium OK and a couple songs on hard. I don't even try anything on expert. My hands were definitely not made to play guitar. I have these short, stubby fingers. Plus, I can't move my pinkie without moving my ring finger, so those red/blue chords kick my ass every single time. Guitar Hero 80's looks like it was thrown together over a couple of weeks.
80's edition have about 5 good songs. 5-10 ok songs. the rest are all junk. as for cowboys from hell and bark at the moon, you just have to use star power at the right spot. the only hard song on gh2 is jordan
i can play guitar much better than i can play guitar hero. other than music being involved i don't see much similarity between the two. it's a very fun game though.
add me to the list of real guitar players who suck ass at guitar hero. been playing for 10 years, cant play a lick of GH.
I'm skeptical about GH III. Since Harmonix left to do Rock Band, Guitar Hero 3 had to be built form the ground up. Harmonix did not give them any of the code they used for GH 1 and 2. We'll see though. Hopefully it plays as good as 2
