[GROSS] Tainted Asian Food

    ...or, foods in Asia... My question is, does this stuff ever make it into the U.S.? I would doubt HEB or Wal-Mart, but what about those Asian markets? I sometimes like to visit those to pick up cheap and interesting stir-fry stuff, different flavors of Ramen noodles, etc. Would I be feeding myself paint or formaldehyde? Are those stores safe?

    $0.30 pho...crazy.

    I tried pho once....I had to go with the chicken cause I couldn't handle the beef smell.

    i ate at street venders in china, 50 cent soups and breakfast, never got sick from that.

    Considering several toothpastes (counterfeit and otherwise) have been busted recently for containing DEG, I'd say the answer is "yes, they do make it over here..."

    Be careful at those dollar stores and asian stores.... ;)

    I like that guys quote...if you can't see it then smack your lips and pretend it doesn't exist...can he also pretend he's not in pain when he's dying of food poisoning?

    i'd hold off on those foods for a bit. They're executing the Minister of Health for taking bribes, so you migth wanna wait till they get someone else in there.
