Grizzlies, Warriors, Bulls? (yes is does have to do with rockets)

    Well here I am feeling satisfied with our Rockets, by no means cocky, and it seems I remember that certain griz and warrior fans said we would be worse than them(horribly worse). Hmm oh and Bulls fans, Bulls being better than us. Hmmm. Yes it's the beginning of the season but I think we see where the seasons going...Hmm just wondering where these posters went [​IMG]

    Just looked again - look at the Eastern teams. They're all pathetic. Their "leaders" are close to the West's bottom-grubbers...

    I know, that's what is so funny, and we all knew those posters(posers) were talking out their @$$es but I like rubbing it in, and also enriching our experience as Rockets fans...one year of rebuilding, and as fun as ever to be a Rockets fan. [​IMG] hehe Bulls fans I'm sure you can get League Pass or something and become a Rockets fan...lord only knows how long it will take your team to actually compete... [​IMG]

    It is amasing how lowly the east is now. Kinda a cursed blessing to be in the west. Yes it's even harder to get in playoffs, on the other hand the competition from quality teams can only make us stronger for years to come.

    treeman, I didn't realize just how bad the Eastern Conference was. The Cavs in first place!!?? The Western Conference has 10 teams with .500 records or better. The Eastern Conf. has 5. We're probably going to have exciting playoffs this year up until the NBA Finals.

    Frank Black: (Millenuim fan?) I just hope we can squeeze in the back end of the West. I think we'll be spoilers, if we can just get a foot in the door!

    The Finals are no problem if we can get past our neighbors...

    I really hope we can put together some winning streaks and get into the playoffs. It's just not as fun watching the playoffs when we're not playing. I bet if we end up in the playoffs as a low seed, there will be some higher seeded teams hoping not to play us.

    What, you never watched "Milennuim"? The X-Files offshoot? That isn't where you got the name?...

    Never mind. You're right - the other Western teams won't want to play us, should we get a seed. Years past, and we could analyze this more... but to tell the truth, I haven't the slightest who's going to be #1 or #2 in the West (who we'll play)...

    The future has a tendency of laying surprises on your ass. It's too early to tell who we'll play IF we get to #8 or #7...

    Frank Black, as in the lead singer of the now defunct Pixies, an alternative band. Frank's still putting out solo albums.

    The Blazers are playing the best ball now. I could see them as a #1 seed.

    The Pixies...jeez, never woulda thought of that. They were cool in my Freshman year (8 years ago). I liked them... I also failed out that year and had to do it all over again in '93... Sh*t happens.

    I doubt Portland will go #1. They're struggling now. LAL are also not living up to championship standards. The West is too tough all around... We're regarded as a "bad" team...

    I know it sounds hard to believe. I mostly just watch sports and movies. I've got DirectTV. There's usually a good movie on when sports aren't. NBA League Pass is great.

    Frank, I ain't lookin' for an excuse as to why you've never seen the X-Files (it is a little odd, tho), all I care about is your input on the Rockets performance. Really, that's all...

    The X-Files is on the FX channel of DirecTV. Try it, you'll like it.

    I think it will be a LONG time before the Bulls ever turn things around. Somewhere toward the end Steve Francis' next Rockets contract.

    The Nuggets are a decent team, but they have some real obvious weaknesses. If McDyess gets injured for a major part of this season, consider them a Top 4 Lottery team.

    Be careful bashing the Warriors. They have talent and Cowens can coach. When Fortson returns from injury he will join Sura (recently converted to PG), Hughes, Jamison, & Dampier. Also, Swopa has a much "sharper" keyboard than NugzFan or roydelton!

    The Rockets could be a much higher seed if they could beat these lowly teams mentioned above. Imagine how good everyone would feel if the Rockets had defeated Boston and the Clips. They would be 11-5! People would be predicting a top 4 playoff seed. If Rockets can start pounding these weak teams, I think they will be better than a #7, because they've proven that they can hang with the powerhouses of the league.
