The guy's history doesn't help. He missed a season once, smashed a window with his hand, after a game/loss.

    The name is epic.

Reflection of culture? Religion has nothing to do with it, right? Weird.

No, it is a reference to a thread in the D&D (just like durvasa's post).

It seems like men from different cultures react in different ways, on average. E.g., Italians seem to be more jealous and hot-blooded than Scandinavians, if you believe in the stereotype.

From the article, she just "talked to another man". The reaction certainly sounds out of proportion then.

Yes, I was actually thinking about that. If he beats her up and shoves her for just talking to another man, what would he do if she actually cheated on him?

and oj slashed his wife's throat AND the man she was talking to. what's your point?

honestly, and i mean this sincerely, if you really to want to have an honest discussion about islam, you'd avoid posting things like you did here. to try to equate this to islam when police blotters are full of stories like this - race, religion, creed, even sex be damned - every single day just smacks of someone who's not really interested in a sincere dialogue. i lean towards thinking you aren't like that, so i'm just giving you my opinion man, no personal insults intended.

Yes, jealousy is not exclusive to one religion or culture.

But an excessive reaction to "only talking" (or the idea of "prohibiting" women to talk to men who are not members of their own family) seems to be more common in some cultures than others.

Plus, remember, if the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit. There are plenty of people who still claim that OJ was framed...paging pgabs.

I don't want to have a discussion about islam in this forum and I did not equate this to islam. It was a reference to a current thread in the D&D, just like durvasa's post.

to paraphrase something Shakespearre wrote in Othello (if im not mistaken): " a man is not jealous for a cause, a man is jealous simply because he is jealous".

Anyway, Wasn't Haddadi the "it" guy during the Fiba tournament? people were talking about him like he's the next international shaq.

They are a little more prone to refer to women as their women.

I agree. I should not have made the reference.

But I find your post funny, can you tell why? :)
