Harden shouldn't have gotten away with it either, that is why his mental weakness will always force him to fall short........

Cut Porter, fire Silas. Both are setting green back years.

Wood and KPJ must not be here at the start of next season.

He seems like a nice guy, but I don't see him turning this team around.

I understand where you are coming from, but coaches like Pop, Spo, Rick, or Van Gundy; they are cutting him the second he pulls that out on him. I like KPJ and still believe in his talent but man I was disappointed on how he acted yesterday. The point guard suppose to be the leader and run the team and he acted like a player who can screw up because he knows he is going to get another chance.

yep. Harden was annoying sometimes, but that dude is a top 10 player in the league. KPJ is not.

The Grizzlies got Ja Morant a guy who grew up with a father pushing him and making him be responsible for his actions on and off the court.

We got KPJ a guy who lacked that guidance.....

We can either jettison him, or hope he grows up - but IMHO, if we are keeping him, he needs GROUND RULES......and accountability.

Maybe not in today's game but Rasheed Wallace comes to mind. He salvaged a good career and part of the Boston championship.

This isn't on coach this is on management. They've committed to the KPJ experiment and Silas has had it foisted upon him.
In public Silas does all he can to not throw guys under the bus, as is his way, but in the pressers you can tell these antics are grating on him.

I've been a pretty big Silas defender. He's folded like origami this year. It's Kenny time.

Let's be honest here. Nothing excuses that behavior. That said, He's playing hurt and out of position. And, he's got boatload of talent. The Rockets know they can play him off the wing as a scorer/secondary ball handler. I wouldn't be surprised if he's not disciplined at all 50/50...given the current staff, along with the aforementioned.

This is just wrong, there are no more Point Guards that run the team - in positionless NBA - that is a dying breed, we are now in the era of multiple combo guards...

I wouldn't consider him a superstar, and I think he won his ring with Detroit not Boston.

Wallace was also a high draft pick who was given up after his rookie year despite having some success.

He had some attitude issues and had some off court stuff, but he also was one of the best players in the league and made a few all star teams.

I'm just going to be honest in adding another point: KPJ is not as good as some make him out. He is a sloppy dribbler and a poor playmaker. His shooting is inefficient and he turns the ball over a lot. He is a subpar three point shooter.

I think his optimal role is as a sixth man. KPJ is streaky, and when he's on, he can put up points in bunches. But that's the type of guy you bring off the bench. A "spark" guy who can playmake when things are stagnant. He's not consistent enough to start, and not efficient enough to be a relied upon part of the team. Unfortunately, I don't think he would accept a demotion, and I dont think this coaching staff has the guts to move him into that role.
