Becks has a real good grilled hotdog. Barnaby's and 59 Diner are good too. Make sure you have a taget bathroom close by if you go chili dog, those things plus Dr Pepper are trouble.

Mmmmm....Beck's. Their chocolate shakes and burgers are the best.

Actually, 2nd best. Sweet Mesquite has the BEST burgers.

    Wrong. Beck's is 3rd. Sweet Mesquite's is 2nd.

And second-to-none is Elmer Fudd's. Mmmm! A nice cheddar+swiss cheeseburger with lettuce, lots of mayo, chopped onions, and chopped pickles.

Alright, I'm gonna try this place tonight. I live on the southeast side but I've never even heard of this joint. Your post on Kanomwan a while back convinced me to go try it, and now my wife and I can't get enough of it!

    Man.....no respect.

Anyway, this place is on my side of town as well, so I'm gonna check it out as well. I still haven't made it to Frenchy's or Langford yet. Or the Utotem.

Pole recommended it. I had been there already and gave Pole's recommendation a hearty "hell yes".

No respect, no respect at all! :D

No one has mentioned James Coney Island yet? You all need professional help.

And you can get 99 cent original coneys on Sundays! I think this is at all locations but I am not sure.

James Coney Island is so awesome. It's gotta be the one restaurant in the world where I sit down and find it totally impossible to STOP EATING. I can't do it.

Back in the day I would suck down a few Delaware Punchs with my Combo #1s, but these days I prefer an ice cold Miller Lite.

I don't know who invented the patented James Coney Island Cheeze Gun, but I'll be damned if ALL restaurants and homes shouldn't be equipped with one.

Fuddrucker's also had some giant, tasty dogs back in the day, but the location in the Woodlands where I grew up stopped serving them at some point. I haven't been to a Fudd's in a couple years... anyone know the status of the Big Dog?

    Hippie --

I have a friend who works at Dell. Back in high school he used to say that he will know he has made it when he has a cheese gun in his home, just like JCI.

For the best grilled hot dogs, buy a package of Nathan's and grill them yourself. Use Sara Lee gourmet buns.

Bah...Hebrew National is the way to go.

Someone told me that JCI serves all-beef kosher dogs now, can someone confirm this or am I just talking out me arse again?

There used to be a place on Dairy Ashford, just north of Westheimer that me and my ex-brother used to go to. It was awesome, but I don't remember the name of the place nor do I have any idea if it's still there.
