Eddie Griffin needs to develop an inside game and footwork. Man YAO MING has great footwork, he and Eddie need to pair up and MIng needs to show Eddie how to play with ur back to the basket. I believe if Eddie Develops a nice inside game he can be like or better than Rasheed.
If it were possible, Yao and Eddie need to get tutored by Moses Malone at Fonde Rec Center or at Westside. Hakeem and Moses' battles at Fonde were legendary, if Yao and Eddie could get a nice tutorial from Malone it would be great.
Good pick. Shawn Marion and Alex English match better. Dantley does match Griff better. But they all kinda play the same.
Shoot with a reasonable curve should be another topic for EG beside footwork. I hope Rox assistant coach is already working on this. KH
I think we need to bring in codell as a tutor for LittleY... he started out at 20 per day, and has lately fallen off to a much more reasonable posting percentage.
I resemble that remark. At my best/worst I was challenging Refman at around 16 per day. PS - Don't make me tell everyone who you really are................
Well, that may be true... but at least with yours = quantity+quality whereas littleY = quantity-quality Like half of em dont know it already? Well, the smarter ones might.. funny tho, I thought hp knew..but considering the response I got in one thread a week or two back I guess not.
Bring Matt Bullard in to teach EG of the mechanics of bending knees while shooting threes, EG's shooting posture beyond the arc is too awkward.....and stiff. to harness his inside game........how bout Otis Thorpe? By the way, what's up with OT, havent heard anythin bout him in a while
On one of the media clips from 610 AM, I believe they spoke to CD. They asked him about Eddie and they said they plan to work on his shooting in the offseason. He said reason they do not want to work on it in the season is that it could really affect his play and/or shooting (not like it isn't bad enough...hehe). As far as a flat shot goes, I see Duncan shoot flat but his release point is high so it helps. I'd rather Griff use his length on his shots b/c that will make it almost unblockable. High release point with a nice high arc.
Though Dream hasn't really been known as a teacher it would be nice for him and Moses to tutor Yao and Griff, even if it's just for one off season. Imagine how much they could learn!
His lack of inside game isn't really hurting the team much since we still have Taylor, Yao, and Rice to score inside. They need to work on a few other things with Eddie first before working with his post up game. (1) Man-to-man defense - stop playing for the block (2) Shooting form - needs more arc (3) Shot selection - only shoot from 18 feet in (4) Rebounding - more consistent effort. He'll have 12 one game and 2 the next (5) Dribbling I think all those weaknesses in his game is what's really hurting the team most. He can work on his post up game in the off-season.
