...against the pirates today, Sunday. He was wearing an astros cap and jersey. and he got it all the way to the plate. He is about 5 feet taller than Biggio. But its good to see the rookie coming in, and taking in what Houston has to offer. It shows hes happy to be here. It sends chills up my spine.
Griffen could be more intimidating on the mound than Randy Johnson. Lucky for us, he picked basketball.
Well, obviously not, we're up 11 to 2 anyhow, it is cool to see him being a part of the local scene. I hope he's as embraced by the general public as we have done so fervently here.
Dangit. I should have gone to todays game. I went to yesterdays game instead and had to watch some NASA guy throw the first pitch (missing the catcher completely I might add). Yesterdays game was also pretty dull with the final score being 3-0 with no homeruns. I personally like to watch high-scoring games like todays.
Good to hear that it was the first pitch......I hope he never draws his first punch in Houston!!! or as a Rocket!!
Dull? You witnessed Jeff Bagwell's steal of home! That's by far the most balls-out play in all of baseball. How can you say that's dull? I think it's great that the Astros can win without a homer. It silences all the critics who say they are a one-dimensional team.
