I don't know if you guys heard Bill Worrell mention it the other night, but he said that Eddie Griffin is now 6'10". He apparently has grown an inch since being drafted. They said that he is still growing and could hit 7'0". I forget how young the kid is.
I was gonna post some smart ass remark about how smart it is for him to be working on his 3 point game, but I'm just as tired of all the negativity as the next guy. Instead I say kick ass, he will be the answer to our problems at the 5 in the future.(just not to distant please)
Yup, Griffin is even already listed on nba.com and espn.com as 6-10 in his profile. No doubt he is a full 6-10 now and he's not even going to be 20 till the very end of may. Now about is weight... someone get him some beefcake!!!
Im more concerned with Griiffn adding bulk and weight than height. The guys arms already allow him to cover the area of a 7 footer plus. Actually It seems Griifins only being 6-9 or so is what really tends to decieve opponents into getting their shots blocked by him. It's almost if as his unimposing height lures opponents into taking shots in and around him they normally wouldn't take on him if he were a legit 7ft or so. Hakeem was the same way, he wasn't exceptionaly tall but he had long agile arms that loved to swipe opponets shots; opponents shots who were usually lured into his airspace by his deceitfuly unimposing height.
