I believe in a few years, if not sooner, Eddie's game is going to resemble that of Juwan Howard. But, I believe Eddie will be better due to his good shot-blocking ablities and his range from the 3. He plays alot like Horry for now.

RAsheed Wallace is a better comparison IMO.

I don't think their games are similar. As you mentioned, Howard doesn't shoot the three OR block shots - both are key parts of Griffin's repertoire - so Griffin's game is very different from Howard's.

At least Eddie looks like a human.

Oh yeah, Det? Another thing to add to that list. I guarantee you that Eddie won't be ripping people down to the floor so they separate their shoulder in a playoff game. Eddie will go for the ball, not the body.

I saw that play, he went for the bll and as soon as he saw Derek he went to see if he was ok. Juwan is a decent man.

I saw it too and I thought he didn't have a chance to get the ball. He's not a shotblocker, anyways, so what was he trying to do? Foul him? Geez, he didn't have to bodyslam Anderson. All i'm saying is Eddie won't be trying to do things that are impossible for him to do. And all those all-ball rookie foul calls that Eddie has gotten this year when he's blocked the ball from behind...they'll all be history next season.

I like the Rasheed Wallace comparison. Or maybe Marcus Camby crossed with Garnett? *shrug*

    Too early to tell :).

Yeah Griffin remind me of Rasheed. They are both good shooter and can block shots. I don't see any ways Eddie is similar to Juwan.

Griffin is very similar to Rasheed. I'll go as far as saying, does everything as good as Rasheed, but blcoks shots and hits 3's much better.

That is an incredible player if you ask me.

Griffin is similar to Wallace, except that he blocks shots, shoots 3s, and rebounds. He's also not a headcase.

Actually he reminds me of Jaque Vaughn, except he blocks shots, shoots 3's, and rebounds...oh, and is taller and not as quick, and doesn't pass as well, and has a better post game...

He doesn't remind ANYONE else of Rahim, even a bit? Yeah, I see Wallace, no, I don't see Howard. More of a combo of Rahim and Duncan, but the guy he most reminds me of all-time is a bigger Larry Nance...

I was watching the Lakers/Mavs game today when I noticed the similarities in Howard. And yes, he does play like Sheed as well, maybe more so.

Actually, it wouldn't hurt to see EG pick up some of Juwan's low post moves in the next few years. Howard is a good back-to-the-basket player and Griff's game would benefit from learning a few backdown moves.

However, I wouldn't project Griff to be anything like Howard in the future. EG is sinewy and lithe; Juwan is solid and somewhat of a bruiser. Griff is more agile and his shot release is way quicker than Juwan's exaggerated hitch and release. And as has already been stated, EG has exhibited 3-point range and runs the floor better.

    So, no.

Rasheed has a low block game, which EG should try and emulate. They both a tad undersized for a NBA 4, but both make up for it with their athletism. EG with 10 more pounds and 2 more years of NBA experience should become a better all round player than Rasheed :)

Vaughn? I was thinking more of Manute Bol, except that he's shorter, rebounds better, and is not quite as dark.

Griffin is his own man. I really think Francis was right when he said Griffin would make the next 12. Watch.

I think Eddie Griffin will end up being a great player. He's very young and he's learning fast.
