The guy can play pro hoops, no doubt! I watched him play defensively against Garnett, regardless KG had 30+ points, but saw Griffin had some pretty good defensive stop against garnett or at least he change his shots several time, KG was 16 of 30 on the floor. Griffin is talented young man with bright future ahead of him. Imagine in a year or two he will turn out to be like KG!!!HHMMMM!! That will be FREAKING awesome!!
If Griffin can be 3/4 of KG in 3-4 years this Rockets team will open up a can of whoopass like its never been opened before on this league. Azim da Dream
Saying Kenny Thomas sucks because he couldn't defend KG is like saying Dikembe Mutombo sucks becaues he couldn't guard Shaq.
I have nothing against KT, I think he's alright. I mean, He happened to be just playing with a complete package player like Murphy and Worell had said.
KT isn't doing well against anyone, not just KG. I don't know what all this talk is about KT being a good defensive player this year. KT is a good defensive power forward for someone who is too short to play the position. He has quick hands, but that is about it. He is not a good defensive player compared to the rest of the power forwards in the west.
I have to admit that it is painful to watch KT right now as our 3rd option. What is up with that? When you've got Rice on the floor, why is KT our 3rd option? KT is okay and makes some great moves sometimes but we run too many damn plays for him. KT would be perfect coming off the bench as a change of pace. MoT, please come back or Griff grow up NOW! Don't get me wrong, KT is playing well but it's just plain wrong if he's one of your go-to guys.
Doctor Robert, That's how I see it as well. Except, I would probably be even less forgiving in evaluating his defensive abilities.
