I'm definitely not with Vilma on this. Never was, but this cemented it. Go back to when hr was implicated with the scandal with the University of Miami. He talked a good talk with his "no comment" bravado, essentially confirming the allegations of his actions were true.

Now he's trying to rewrite history again. I guess if he continues to tell himself it didn't happen he'll believe it's the new truth.

I'm amused by him claiming Williams was "bullied" by the league, when clearly Vilma and Ginsberg are merely trying to bully Goodell and the league through the media. Just admit that it's true dude. Sucks you gotta sit out a year (about six games too harsh), but don't go down the rocky path cleared by Ryan Braun.

Is this carreer suicide for gregg williams? Who would want to listen to and play hard for a guy who snitched?

IMO, his NFL coaching career was done when they nailed him. He desperately tried to salvage it by snitching but only made himself more radioactive.

Greg Williams should have taken his medicine, swallowed it and stayed silent instead of dragging others down with him.

Williams has to cooperate with the NFL. He is/was in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. The last thing he could do is lie in a way that protected the team/players and harmed the NFL.

First things first, he has to get the suspension lifted. It only takes one team to forgive him for him to get hired again.

    Supposedly the players started it.

It looks like Williams just told the truth.

Exactly. Assuming he's telling the truth, it's fascinating that we now look at that as snitching, and think people should instead be lying and covering things up.

Telling the truth when asked by investigators regarding a situation in which people were paying each other to intentionally injure others is a bad thing?

I can't believe the support Vilma is getting for this.

I'd be against Williams if he came out just to bury others, even though he knew others were doing wrong. I can't be against Williams if he is being honest with the NFL when they question him. Lying about it in the first place was a big part of why the NFL came down so hard on everyone.

Are you guys in middle school or something? "Snitch"??

I can't wait for Goodell to bring down the banhammer on these fools again.

Of course nobody in the Saints organization should have lied to start with. But Vilma and others only got involved because Greg Williams himself started it. Instead of dragging them down with him, he should have told the NFL "I'm guilty but don't want to implicate players that I got in trouble".

I have no problem with anyone snitching on Greg Williams but for him to throw his players under the bus disturbs me. The guy he should be harpooning is Sean Payton.
