He beasted last night in his limited minutes versus one of the best teams in the league. He deserves more minutes, but where will they come from? Better yet, WHO will they come from?

If he didn't suck defensively, he'd be playing. Very solid offensive player around the basket, but a terrible defensive center.

He needs to learn how not to foul.

At least he can finish at the rim, Dwight and Asik both shooting below .500 as a friggin center. Terrible.

Last night, our starting bigs were lazy to come out to set picks or screens for the PG whereas the Clippers had their bigs setting picks non-stop the whole game. CP3 with good picks means trouble for our defense. When Smith came in, the young gun was willing to help his friend Lin to set good picks. Guess what, our offense flowed again and Smith had a good game by scoring from the pnr he helped set up. The coach should insist more picks from the bigs and bench any one not willing to do so.

He may need some more minutes if he is consistent. Remember he has done the same thing before, shows up big then disappears. I hope you are right and he is consistent, that would allow us to move somebody if needed.

I have to agree, Greg Smith hooked it up with the screens. The other screens set by Howard and Asik were very lazy and half ass.

I have to disagree somewhat. He seems adequate offensively, but he really is just a garbage player able to take advantage of the creases and momentary holes in the defense. Not a bad thing in any way, but a player who could be rendered useless when a defense starts scheming for him.

I don't think the word terrible does justice to describe Greg Smith's interior defense.

Why would any offense scheme against Greg Smith with the team as currently constructed? He has a good touch around the basket, is athletic, has a good motor on the offensive boards, and is strong. Good offensive role player; keyword offensive.

The twin tower had the worst defense showing last night already.
Smith wont be worse than that.

Because NBA teams always scheme against the other teams rotation. My point was almost exactly yours.

What? The back court was the problem. Yes, the twins didn't dominate but they don't defend the perimeter and the bulk came from outside. What game were you watching? Also, Dwight was in foul trouble and played a ridiculous amount of minutes (low).
