On the Blazers twitter page it says that Greg Oden missed practice today due to a sinus infection, and as a result is a game-time decision for tomorrow's game.

    Is that good or bad?

Yao tends to do better playing against traditional center because they tend to play behind him.

Smoke screen in IMHO. They are going to use Oden's 6 fouls on Yao for sure.

The might as well keep his name on the game time decision list.

The blazers have the capability to play small with aldridge and Frye.
That means Yao will be fronted if Oden can't go.

The Rockets may be better off with Oden playing. I don't want to see Yao matched up with Aldridge or Frye too much.

Yeah, Yao owned Oden when he was in the game the last time the Rockets played Portland. Oden even tired to front Yao but could never get position. Oden only played 11 minutes but in the time he was in, Yao dominated him.

Not at all is more like it...

Both have nice smooth jumpers from mid-range, and Aldridge fronts Yao pretty effectively.

Ugh. That sounds disastrous. Yao has got to learn how to be effective against guys like that. Aldridge should not be able to keep yao from getting the ball and scoring. Our guards have to figure out a way to set up yao in the paint where he can just catch it and finish or draw a foul.

Im so sick of seeing Yao held in check by guys who weigh 230 pounds.

Might be a smoke bomb or something. Anyways, The babyish Oden counts for little against Yao. ;)

I thought Steve Francis was the only guy to sit out games due to a sinus infection? Who cares anyway? Oden is chum in the water against Yao.

this is bad if oden sits out. we need someone on the court who yao can guard. he can guard pryzbilla i guess but id rather he guard oden since hes not as good on offense.

Pryzbilla and Oden are not in at the same time anyway. Oden backs up Pryzbilla. Pryzbilla plays more minutes than Oden so all this affects is when Pryzbilla is out do they put Frye or Aldridge at the Center position.

They typically match Pryzbilla and Oden to Yao anyway. If Oden is out, Pryzbilla will play when Yao plays and sit when Yao sits.
