I didn't know he was 6'11"! Must have grown a couple of inches or I have his height wrong (or the article does, lol).

I was pushing for the guy on draft night and was surprised when the rox didn't draft him at 25. I'm not jumping on the summer league bandwagon, but I would try to get him 20-25 minutes. Shane shouldn't play more than 28 mins per.

    For those who are curious:

Donte Greene's height in the pre draft measurements
    without shoes: 6'8.25"
    With shoes 6'9"

I guess when NBA.com said he was "growing as a rocket," we were meant to take that literally. :D

I literally only see him referred to as either 6'8 or 6'11... there is no middle ground.

3/4 of an inch is surprisingly little. There are guys on that list that have as much as one and a half inch of 'difference' between the two heights.

    For those who are curious:

Draftexpress also listed T-Mac's pre-draft measurement at 6"6 without shoes. Of course he's got a 7"2 wingspan though.

Almost every player in the NBA has their height overestimated in the official listings. Except for the seven-footers-and-higher (Tim Duncan, KG) who want to be 6"11 for some inane reason. It's safe to say that Greene is still taller than T-Mac and most other SG/SF's.

Here's predraft measurements for other notables:

    Rashard Lewis 6"8.5 w/o shoes
    Shane Battier 6"8.25 w/o, 6"9.5 with
    Elton Brand 6"8.25 w/o, 6"9.5 with
    Donte Greene 6"8.25 w/o, 6"9 with
    Mike Dunleavy 6"8 w/o, 6"9.5 with
    Carlos Boozer 6"7.75 w/o, 6"9.5 with
    Antawn Jamison 6"7.75 w/o
    Richard Jefferson 6"7.25 w/o, 6"8.5 with
    Lebron James 6"7.25 w/o, 6"8 with
    Shawn Marion 6"6.5 w/o, 6"7.75 with
    Carmelo Anthony 6"6.25 w/o, 6"7 with
    Paul Pierce 6"6 w/o
    Vince Carter 6"5.5 w/o

it's very exciting seeing greene got another double double in the game with nuggets, although rockets lose the game,it doesn't matter because it's just summer league.
Nuggets will face troubles in the season as a result of giving camby to clippers. As we all know ,nugetts is a team with bad defence although of good offence. After camby's leaving , their defence will be worse ,even the worst in the league. :p

T-Mac might have been 6'6" coming out of high school, but It looks like he grew a couple of inches since then.

He's only 20 yrs old, so he might grow another inch or two before he's 24. Could happen.

I'll be happy if he's the number 9 player by the playoffs.

Hopefully, he stays the same height and adds another inch to his standing reach and wingspan. He needs it for his handles.

I say let him shoot the lights out. Get as comfortable as possible and crack the rotation. It's summer league, let him get his confidence up.

I really think Greene has a lot more potential to become an all star than are present rookies and past.. besides Yao.

Donte Greene can flat out ball. I am very impressed with him. Of our rookies, this guy is going to be something and is making quite a statement in Summerleague.
