That was cool. In my first Judo club we used to do a throw that we called "The spinning ball of death" I am going to see if I can add the Flying Squirrel to my repertoire.
What's the rules of this type of wrestling? If it is the first person to hit the outside red circle, the flying squirrel guy actual does that first - if you pause at 32 seconds you'll see his elbow is touching the red circle before he flips his opponent on there...
That's sumo-wrestling rules, but I don't think that's how it goes in this style of wreslting... Not an expert or anything, but I think it has more to do with the position in which you pin your opponent to the mat.
It's a point based system unless you get pinned where both your shoulders are touching the mat also known as a fall. That's why you see the Iranian guy make sure he kept one of his shoulders off the mat after the throw. Gave up the points but not the match. Other than that based on the type of takedown you get awarded points. Based on what I saw on this one I believe the US guy would get 5 points because from a standing position he was able to throw his opponent where his feet went above his head. It could have been a 3 point one as well depending on how the ref saw it. He actually had lost the first round 3-5 and then rallied to win the match, pretty sure this move really helped him.
