Damn, it was good to see MJ run the point like an actual PG. Yao flowed smoothly w/ the offense and the others got their shot. It looked great out there.

I couldn't agree more. I didn't see a lot of stupid guard play.

We still had 16 turnovers yesterday. But most of those turnovers happened because of passing. It was still much better and less frustrating than those stupid turnovers like dribbling out of bound or dribbling on the foot.

Our offense looks much more smooth and passing is crisp.

All in all, we need a real PG.

The key to your first paragraph ivannyy2000 was passing. The flow of passing in the offense looked so smooth. If MJ was 5-10 years younger, damn.....

It would be nice to see MJ at the point and SF at the 2 and have CM come off the bench with MT. Man our bench would be awsome.:) What you guys think?

I think MJ is too old to do this on a regular basis.

agreed....what did he play? 40 minutes? no way he does that on a consistent basis...

I must admit it was nice seeing our point not constantly looking to beat someone off the dribble .

If here were 15 years younger, I would do consecutive bck flips.

Too much 'what ifs' means NO 'if':p

    Let's face it.

Our PG NOW is Steive, and will still be...

Well, we'll see this offseason if he will be our PG....

Well, at least it was something to see into the future for a real PG run the offense.

Since it was so effective, we should see more of MJ and less of SF in the playoffs, right?

    Fine.
But if we are down to an elimination game in the playoffs, we should expect MJ to play 35min+, shouldn't we?

I like how Mark Jackson has one good game every few weeks and it shows how a "real" PG runs the offense. Didn't Francis miss the Phoenix game earlier this year and the Jackson ran the offense and the Rockets got butchered?

It was not juat MJ last night, but the players that were on the court with him.

Padgett, Boki, JJ, Yao and MJ, all capable passers and team players.

They ALL moved the ball around and it showed in their offensive explosion.

Surround Yao with the right type of players and we contend for a championship.

Keep the core together and we struggle to make the playoffs every year.

So a four-point win over a mediocre team in a meaningless game leads you to this deduction?

    Don,

I come to that conclusion after watching 81 games, and seeing the offense struggle due to lack of ball movement.

Last night just showed how good it could be with the right type of mindset/players.

First of all, Sonics used all their starters in this game, they just beat Dallas the other day and they played hard even though they had nothing to play for.

Second, this mediocre team beat us fair and square three times in this season, two of them were on our home court.

sigh, I knew someone was going to come out and say this

We were playing a team whos season was over a long time ago. Don't use this one game as a basis, if you're going to do that, then I can easily refute you and use the one game when Francis didnt play vs Phoenix [Super Bowl suspension], and how disjointed our offense was.

IN REALITY, you cant depend on the team to shoot 50% for the majority of the game, and cant depend on Mark Jackson shooting 17 FT's in the game.

On a side note, for all of those people who want to trade SF because he takes the ball out of Yao's hands; Yao still didnt get anymore shots that he usually gets.
