The one thing that keeps creeping into my thoughts is that JVG statement about how the refs were in some sort of cahoots to unfairly ref Yao. It was the Dallas playoff series 2 yrs ago and the comish came down on JVG pretty hard. There is no way in hell that anyone in the league gets screwed over more then Yao. Even Shaq, who I'll admit probably gets bad calls against him bec of his size, gets waaay more calls then Yao, as evidenced in the last game. It's really ridiculous and we, as rockets fans have just gotten used to it. But it just makes me sick... It's soooo pathetic. The calls against Yao are so lopsided, how else, unless the refs had a mutual understanding that they were gonna ref Yao a certain way?!

How great is Yao? Despite getting no calls, and having every questionable call go against him, night in and night out.... He has become maybe the most dominant player in the league. If he would just get ref'd normally, I'm not talking about superstar treatment (which he deserves by now), how much greater could he be? Honestly, averaging 40ppg would not be out of the question. Imagine how many free throws he'd shoot?! He would have been dominating the NBA before now.

But why is he so unfairly treated? Is it because they don't want one player to be that dominant? This maybe true considering the rule changes that were instituted when Shaq was young enough to mow over ppl. But the refereeing on Yao is so blatantly wrong and biased is it possible that there is another reason? I hate when ppl call the race card but what else could it be? Anyone have another, more plausible hypothesis? Let me know, I'm all ears.

This is one thing that Yao has to learn: you have to demand fouls like dirk does.
I believe with yao's performance getting better each day, he will get the calls he deserves.
untill then all we can do is complaining
