I started this thread after eating at Burger King and remembering a great thing I discovered while eating a Whopper from that restaurant. One day while eating one of those sandwiches a drop of ketchup and mayonaise fell from the sandwich and on to my fries. I picked up the fries and ate them. VOILA! I found my new spread for burgers and new dip for fries. Somebody actually told me that mayo and ketchup mixed together is marketed as "Russian salad dressing" but I haven't seen anything like it yet.

I am not a huge fan of chocolate so one day at a birthday party I got a slice of chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. Since I am not a big fan os icing I scraped it off then I dumped the cake on top of the ice cream and mixed it furiously. What I came up with was a great mixture. It didn't have a taste of chocolate but not vanilla either, sort of like me, it was a little bit of the best of both worlds. It was good too.

I also came up with the perfect rib rub over the summer but I will not reveal its secrets. I will thank all those on the board that helped me in my BBQ threads I posted a while back though. :)

So what are some great tastes that you have discovered when trying things out?

Get a jar of those dried beef slices. Slather a good dollop of cream cheese across it. Roll that around a pickled Okra. I call it the Redneck Rocket.

cheetos in vegetable or cream of chicken soup.

Throw a few on top of the soup, and eat one or two with a spoonfull of soup while they are still crunchy. Then throw a few more in.....repeat.

This isn't very nifty, but Ritz crackers dipped in Italian Dressing. Makes for the best snack ever. Simple, yet awesome!

I can't remember her name for the life of me.

As far as food is concerned, raw cookie dough for breakfast. I was eating this in the early 80's in college before it was cool to put it in ice cream. Thank you DQ for stealing my idea.

poor chinese college student + soy sauce + vinegar + sugar + chicken + vegetable oil = a heck of a dish. A little salty if you go too much soy sauce, but to me it's perfect over white rice.
