2 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block in 15 minutes of play.

He hustled alot out there, did great boxing out. Missed a couple tip ins but doesnt matter at least he went after alot of the loose balls. Cato got big offensive rebounds that put the game away in the 4th. If he can just stay healthy, I think the rockets will have a very nice Center Duo combination.

A solid effort. I dare say we got some Cato Time! Sorry, couldn't help myself...

I couldn't see the game, how did Cato look overall? Did he look confident? Is he still going for every ball fake anyone gives him?

He fell for the Gatling fake, but almost everyone on the team did. [IMG]

He got mad when he misses his tips. But he jumped and husteld alot for the ball. He was boxing out pretty well, getting good position.

He looks healthy enough to trade now [IMG]

Cato did look good tonight. He blocked a couple and changed some shots. He is the PERFECT center for this team. For those who talked about trading him, are you really ready for a heavy dose of Collier time?! I'm not.

If we could get Cato to play like that for 30 mins a game, we have our center all cleared up . . . assuming he stays healthy of course [IMG]

If Cato did play like that permanently he and Dream together would solve our rebounding problems. I'm just hoping he doesn't go lazy once he starts getting more PT. Now that he's back, it appears Carlos is now headed back to the end of the bench...he is having trouble staying healthy also. Who knows, maybe Los will get traded before the deadline.

Cato isn't the awful center many have made him out to be but he isn't the Rockets' savior at that position either.

I'm glad he had a good game but he will have to prove that he can contribute over the course of a season or at least a portion of the season to merit real praise.

He did look good on the floor tonight. It was almost hard to believe we actually had a center on the floor nearly the entire game!!! [IMG]

Okay, I admit that for one game Cato looked pretty good, but hoping that he stays healthy for a whole season is like hoping Walt becomes a consistent shooter all year long. I still think that Cato is injury prone. Come on Cato, prove me wrong. PLEASE!

Two points and six rebounds in 15 minutes against the Cavs (can't board), and you're thrilled? Hmm... it must be nice having low expectations.

I was happy to see him to well. His conditioning is still an issue, though. He wasn't moving laterally very well. This should come back, though, with time.

I don't know about anyone else, but when Cato was on the floor, he was the only player I watched. I'm a Rocket fan and I want to see Cato do well.

Yes, quite nice considering if you adjust his stats for more time, he would have gotten 8 points, 24 rebounds, and 4 blocks in 48 minutes.

I don't know if this is below your expectations, but how can you say that the numbers he put up (after coming off a long stint on the IR) are below expectations when he only played 15 minutes!

If Cato could average those types of numbers in the amount of playing time allotted to him, hell, he is worth the money we payed him.

I hate to say I told you so but....wait a minute....I love saying it....

    I TOLD YOU SO!

I know it's just one game, but Weatherspoon and Gatling aren't exactly stiffs. They're excellent rebounders and cato boxed them out beautifully a couple of times. A lot of energy, and with a week or two of conditioning, we'll have a better Cato, and a hakeem with more rest to contribute.

This is gonna work. I know it.

Wait... "I told you so?" Why, for God's sake? If you want to, go through the list of bench warmers in the NBA, extrapolate their stats over 48 minutes. You might be amazed at some of the number's you get. 1. It's NOT A LARGE ENOUGH STATISTICAL SAMPLE. 2. Marginal players receive marginal attention from the other team.

In 15 minutes, you think Cato has redeemed himself after YEARS of being a dud? He had a nice preseason game too. Heck, he's even had a couple of nice games since then.

Bryce Drew had a number of 20pt games... would you call him a solid starter? Matt Bullard has scored 30? Is he a solid starter?

Cato had one game in which he scored 2 points. Bravo. If you're excited, then you're deluding yourself or you have LOW expectations.

Oh, and btw, Weatherspoon is MASSIVELY undersized to be guarding Cato, and Gatling is VERY WEAK defensively. He's an exclusively offensive player.

I want Cato to succeed, but because he's a Rocket. So far, his apathetic attitude has alienated him from me. If he can average 10pts, 8 boards, and 2.5 blocks and few turnovers for a month long stretch, then you may say "I told you so."
