I was thinking the same thing after the Rockets won.....the longhorns were my only disappointment.

 

This was a great sports weekend for me as well. My coogs won, Texans won, rockets won, A&M and UT both lost. Doesn't get much better.

 

Don't forget Astros signed Bidge (minor news, totally expected, but good nonetheless)

 

It was New York Friday but yes with two Rockets wins, a Texans win, Dynamo title and to top it all off both city NCAA football teams win I would say this should rank very high in all time Houston Sports weekends!

 

Have we had 3 major league victories in same day?

I'd think best chance would be Aeros/Astros/Rockets in past, but Aeros are minor league.

Today was Dynamo/Texans/Rockets.

You could have Dynamo/Texans/Astros/Rockets, but probably have to be preseason for Rockets if Astros are still playing.

 

I guess maybe Comets/Astros/Dynamo as well could happen.

Not sure if we've had 3 major league victories in same day though.. anyone know when last time was, if ever?

 

Not sure but I do know that the Texans, Astros and Rockets all played on the same day either last year or the year before (it was during one of the Astros' postseason runs).

Losses - Texas, A&M

 

Yeah, I do remember that happening, I guess it would have been Astros postseason and Rockets preseason? Can't remember what the results were on that day though.

 

Texans lose to Minn in overtime at Reliant (great game)

Astros lose game 4 to Atlanta (but win their first ever playoff series the next day)

Rockets beat the Heat in preseason at TC

I went to the Texans and Rockets games, I also would of gone to the Astros game if it would of started at 3 or 4 but it was at noon same time as the Texans and I had Texans season tickets.

Dynamo win
Carr gets injured

It was a Trifecta for Houston, but for me it was a Quadrifecta with Las Aguilas del América winning too.

 

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I didn't think they won all 3, but couldn't remember the results.

That must have been fun going to multiple games, going to 3 games in a day would have been great.

 

Great sports weekend. All of my teams except whoever-plays-Dallas won.
