Seems like we go down, then go back up...so hopefully we get back on the upward trend starting with the Lakers.

Rockets are heavily relying on 3-point shooting now. If they can't hit those shots, offense is going to be hard to come by. We're keeping ourselves in games on that end with our offensive rebounding and T-Mac's ability to manufacture shots in the second half.

That kind of looks like President Bush's approval ratings!

Analyzing your graph show thats 14 (2/3) of the 21 games were won by 10 points or more. Incredibly impressive.

Thanks, I'm a numbers type of person - so a graph helps put things in perspective.

I've seen the number of assists drop during these past couple of games. better ball movement= better shots= more points. I hope we can pick it up.

and we saw that against the bobcats.

    5-29 for 3pt
    12-21 for FT

that's is not going to cut it against good teams. don't let the streak fool you.

I think it was Adelman that brought it up, but this streak is certainly affecting our play. The reason for the excessive three point shots is that the players felt like they had to force it to catch up.

It's hard to get a lot of assists when the team isn't hitting shots. Plus, we're relying more on put backs off offensive rebounds to get scores. Our PGs have to do a better job running the offense. We've been relying on T-Mac too much the last couple games. He's going to burn out pretty soon, here.

yeah the players are standing around alot settling for the 3s, but they haven't been falling.

Hopefully they will have better ball movement and the outside shots fall in against the lakers.

This Tmac playing the whole game is worrisome. I don't blame Adelman for doing it cause he prolly thinks the offense will fall apart and we'll fall to a big deficit while Tmac sits, but still not a good feeling to wear out Tmac before the playoffs.

A healthy landry and Mike Harris getting more minutes should alleviate that.

Hmm I'm not sure if the graph has any real value...but this is interesting (yes I know its only 20 games).

    w/ Yao (12-0):

    PPG: 99.9
    Opp. PPG: 89.8
    Opp. FG%: 42.6
    BPG: 4.3

    w/out Yao (8-0):

    PPG: 102.3
    Opp. PPG: 86.8
    Opp. FG%: 38.1
    BPG: 6.4

I think the increased offense is attributed to T-Mac, of course, and the emotion of losing Yao

The largest margin of victory are those 7 games, when Landry got increased playtime. For the last 2-3 games, T-Mac has been hesitating on passing the ball the Chuck under the basket. Chuck has trouble getting it up and over the bigger defenders.

Yeah, I am worried about them going back to the let-TMac-create-and-everybody-standing-around offense.

Losing Landry might be a factor. Rafer not hitting shots might also affect the offense too. And as Adelman pointed out, they were too impatient when they were behind. Fortunately, our defense is still holding up.

Or could it be more missed shots = fewer assists = fewer points.

Guys, the shots were WIDE frickin open. Not just the 3's. The layups. The 18 footers. The FTs. Note that the FT shooting has been lower the last 3 games as well.

Its actually amazing that we got 20+ wide open looks from 3. Only 3 or 4 of them were bad shots(and most of those came in the brickfest known as the 9 minutes of 1st and 2nd quarter).

Lol whats this? Tim Legler coming around and giving us some love?
And surprisingly, its a pretty good analysis of our streak and he doesn't immediately cut us down with the typical "oh they have a weak schedule blah blah" Although most of what he says have already been mentioned by us fans here at Clutch-dom before. Finally, some well-deserved love :)

I had a thought today that maybe the reason we went on the run is because t-mac went out and so the Rox had to figure out how to win w/o him. And we started doing better and people were calling for Morey to trade t-mac. When T-mac came back, everyone knew how to win w/o him so they were just that much more effective w/ him back.

Now, consider the fact that Yao went down, the Rox are learning to win w/o him and some dumbasses are saying we're better w/o him. It could be that the Rox are learning to win w/o Yao now so that when he gets back, they'll be that much more effective with him.

You should do a graph on field goal %, it's more legit and should correlate with the points win....the end of the graphics should dip

So basically we are winning by a bigger margin with Yao out?
