http://espn.go.com/espnradio/grantland/player?id=8362398 Contains some good stuff about the media and coaches...Jeff makes some comments about his days with the Rockets (especially about the Yao officiating near the end of the podcast). One of the best podcasts I've heard, despite two hosts I don't care for (wish Bill Simmons was doing it). Also great stuff about the Dwight/Stan situation.
Awesome stuff. Loved the ending about SVG ripping into David Stern, saying all the stuff everyone in the NBA is afraid to say, demonstrating what a maniacal dictator David Stern is. Man do I despise that smug greedy b*stard.
I enjoyed that a lot, thanks! The part where everyone chimes in about 'modulating the truth' gave me giggles.
damn straight a great interview, but really better with Bill, by creating Grantland, which is a great thing to do, he really has exposed his many weaknesses, nuance is not a word Bill knows, you can hear his brain clicking and changing his mind when a guest with expertise points out reality, evidence and facts, Bill loves to speculate and be the fan... but really i want more than that, you should try the podcast they had on when he was in London, the Chuck Klosterman hosting one's were soooooooo much better, great to have writers and interviewers with intelligence, thought and high quality skills with written and verbal words.
LOL.........JVG "Modulating the Truth"... He is by far my favorite coach! That was a great interview....they talked about Dwight madea fool of himself in Orlando and how "The Stern-minator"doesn't practice what he preaches! Truth be told that interview was not long enough!....Thanks OP!
This is as close to real as you'll get from the NBA. Props to the Van Gundy's for telling it like it is.
