    Both played together in Orlando.

    Both play the same positions.

    Both can pass very well.

Does this mean Tmac will succeed past the first round as soon as next season?

plus grant hill is overall a better player, when healthy and playing in detroit, hill was one of the best overall players in the league, he could do it all.

Technically, McGrady got out of the first round last year.

TMac also lacks a Steve Nash and an Amare Stoudemire. :/

Yeah, that's nice and all, but if Nash was on the Rockets last year instead of McGrady, they would probably have won the championship.

What if I told you a victory could unite a nation?

NBa first round? No. But I think if he joins with starbury and china the two of them can just barely pull out a win to get to the 2nd round

I like how you were so certain with your answer, but contributed no thoughts. It's all speculation, but it's a possibility and I don't see why not. They certainly would improve. He's a smart and efficient player and he creates opportunities for players. He's a consistent perimeter threat and has leadership qualities. He's experienced in the playoffs, and is a winner. Artest also wouldn't have been "burdened" to take 18 low percentage shots a game. The Rockets were playing the Lakers very well, with relatively close games until Yao went down. Artest, Nash, Yao, minus the ejections, would certainly have had a chance against the Lakers last year. They did without Nash.

We'll see if he can latch on with a good team and advance. I think a lot of the top teams will want nothing to do with him. They'll all remember what a distraction he was for the Rockets the past few seasons and also remember what a cancer AI was for the Grizzlies and for the 76ers. My guess is he signs for a small market team that will use him to sell some tickets. I don't even think he'll make the Playoffs next year.

If he doesn't make it to the second round next year, that's it for him. Once the lockout hits and cancels the 2011-2012 season, McGrady is going to get very out of shape and have no chance of catching on with a squad when play finally resumes.
