Maybe getting Frye is a sign that the Suns are getting front court help that would lead to the Amare trade. ( Just wishing )
Frye is not that good. I watched him a lot in Portland and he is about as one dimensional as one dimensional goes.
What exactly is Phoenix' end game here? They don't seem to be contending, but they don't seem to willing to totally restart. It seems like they are just locking themselves into mediocrity.
You can ask the Knicks the same question: [rquoter]The New York Knicks reportedly offered Hill the choice of a one-year, $5 million deal or a three-year, $10 million contract. [/rquoter]
I'd take Frye over Cook in a heart beat. He's younger, taller, more athletic, and definitely more skilled than Brian Cook. He averaged close to 10 points/game his rookie season when he saw more minutes.
Agreed. Never understood why Hill was a priority of theirs, or even re-upping Nash for that matter. They're just prolonging the inevitable. I'm sure the East is breathing a sigh of relief that Hill didn't end up in Boston because that would have just been nasty.
Grant hill signed for 2 years for around 6 mil, players option 2nd year. He passed up a 1 year/5 mil deal with the Knicks so you can't say he did it for the money. He passed up 1.9 mil with the Celtics so he didn't want a ring. The official reason he resigned with the Suns is that he 'liked their direction'. What are you smoking Grant? This is one of the most directionless teams in the league, they seem to shift their stance every week. The only direction that team has is Sarver's desire to make some dough this year.....
A decision He might regret. He has at least 2 more years to produce and by staying with the Suns, He basically will join Barkley, Ewing, Stockton and Malone as great players that never won a ring.
am i the only one whose mind it blows that it is 2009 and he is still in the league, healthy, and fairly productive?
While Hill's a damn good player, I wouldn't throw his name in with that group. Grant Hill's not fit to shine the shoes of Ewing, Barkley, Stockton, and Malone. Those are four of the greatest players of all time.
