Last night both Jay Leno on the Tonight Show and Jon Stewart on the Daily Show commented on the following. Has anyone heard about this from a 'real' news source? During Tuesday's debate, Gore stated that he went to Texas and visited with the victims of the recent Texas wildfires. Someone researched this, and found out that Gore did go to Texas, but it was for a political fundraiser, completely unrelated to the fires. Gore apologized, calling it an "honest mistake." Anyone? ------------------ Stay Cool...
The Daily Show gives the best commentary, IMO. They show how both sides are idiots. My favorite line ever: "Bush claims the justice system in Texas serves everyone...a tasty last meal." ------------------ Cheerleaders are just dancers who've gone r****ded. visit www.swirve.com
How exactly do you confuse a political fundraiser with visiting victims of wildfires? Yeah, sure... that's an honest mistake. ------------------
But do we know for a fact that Gore DID NOT meet with fire victims? He may have gone down there for one reason, but still did this. ------------------ Cheerleaders are just dancers who've gone r****ded. visit www.swirve.com

I was just wondering about that too so I looked around for more info and this is how I found it reported at nypost.com: So, he met with some EM officials at the airport while there. That hardly sounds like accompanying the FEMA director on a trip to survey fire damage. I must admit, though, that this could be colored as a simple mistake or a self-serving lie depending on your perception. I lean towards the self-serving lie perception. I have little trust of politicians these days. ------------------
